Looking for A-6 Intruder model
Posted by lobos222 on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 7:03 AM
I am having difficulty finding a 1:48 scale A-6 Intruder model to assemble for my collection of AC models. So far, I have located only one manufacturer in this scale, Revell, and it appears this may be an older production model, no longer available. If anyone knows of a manufacturer with the Intruder in 1:48 scale, please send me an e-mail at lobos222@aol.com. Thanks in advance.Cool [8D]

No... there are more. Just been out of production longer in most cases. Testors made one as well as Fujimi and a few others. Some still available if you know where to look.Big Smile [:D]

Lobos222 check your email. I think you will like what I found for you. Wink [;)]

Plenty of aftermarket stuff still available out there. Just sniff around.

eBay is your only other option really for the kit.

Are you sure? I know Fujimi and others released 1/72 Intruders, but I thought the Revell kit was the only injection kit in 1/48.
(I'm not sure about that, by the way! Big Smile [:D])

Fujimi made and A-6A back in the early 70's, the Monogram kit is far superior to it.
I'm hoping that Monogram will re-release the A-6 and EA-6A has they did the Prowler this year.

Thanks for all the input, I was hoping I was just not looking in the right place....I am currently building the Prowler. Not real pleased with the way the parts fit on the Revell/Monogram model. It's requiring a lot of extra finesse,,,,not to mention filler.

Delta what is that nice flag you got there? Is that the Phillipine national flag? I have the Revell A-6, not that great a kit. Could be much better, if it had a better fit and recessed panel lines. I am holding off on that one for now as I plan to purchase that Verlinden update set and some decals for it. But right now there is no money.
