Well I built one a couple of years ago, and wasn't thrilled about it. Fit was reasonable, with not too much filler needed, but the plastic was soft, so that made sanding a bit of a pain. The cockpit is really basic, so if you could get a replacement resin one: go for it. My canopy wasn't very clear so a coat of Future would improve the situation. The biggest let-down of the kit is the gun. It just won't do at all, and inspired me to do my first scratchbuilding. (as is often the case with first attempts, it wasn't great but a small improvement anyway). You may also want to do a more in-scale gunsight, which is located outside the cockpit, so is very noticeable. To make this model stand out, a good paintjob will be essential. I have seen pics on the net of folks who did one in winter camo and those looked awesome. As you may have guessed, I have gotten a bit disenchanted with my HS129, and would go for the new Hasegawa/Revell kit if I were to build another. Sorry if I don't sound too enthousiastic, but if you do turn this into a jawdropper, I sure would like to see a pic! (Might even inspire me to have another go at mine).

Thank you for the help. I have the Hasegawa kit, but I couldn't resist how low the bids were on the kit. I will have to start searching for aftermarket accessories for it I guess. I am really a WW II luftwaffe fan and if i have to attempt my first scratch build job so be it. Again thank you for the info. Happy Modelling, Bryan

Falcon I built this kit last year and I didn't think it was too bad. Of course, I'm not too jaded, having built many Monogram kits over the years. It does show its age somewhat(going on 30 years I believe). I spent a lot of time on the paint job, although the following pic doesn't really show it. I used a pencil to highlight the panel lines using a piece of vac-cleaner belt as a straight edge. Rub an old, stubby brush over the penciled lines to blend them in. Here is the link:
