Question on my P-51D Mustang (1/24)
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 11:06 PM
Here is my question. I was looking at my P-51D Mustang 1/24 by Trumpeter and I noticed that they were talking about decals that I didn't own. It is the one with numbers anyways I was just wondering if it even came with two set of decals or just one? Any response will be much appericiated.

J-man:

The kit was also issued by Hobbycraft with a different decal set than Trumpeter's. Also, CAM Decals produced 3 sets as well. Others may have too- here is my Trump P-51 with one of the CAM Decal sets:

Good luck.

Well I got the alphabet ones but I need the ones with numbers. The alphabets decals go on the outside while as the numbers go on the inside in different spots.

You must have a different sheet of decals the I do. All the decals on my sheet are numbered. You can try getting a new sheet from Stevens International's customer rep at: lauracarney@stevenshobby.com.

That is interesting. What about your outside decals(on the outside of the plane) are they also numbered?

Alright I just checked my model and it is by Hobby Craft. What threw me off is that all the plastic parts are from Trumpeter. But still according to the directions I need the number sheet.
