Posted by mkee on Thursday, February 26, 2004 4:06 PM
Just found out in the latest issue of FSM that Sanger Engineering has released a 1/48 Waco and a 1/48 Horsa glider in vacuform. They also have a 1/48 Halifax in both ratary and merlin power.Lots of neat kits there.Web is www.sangereng.fsnet.co.uk
Next question is,Does anyone know of a good hobby shop around the GTA that would order them in?Smile [:)]

I stay away from Vacuform, but would love to see an injection model of the Waco glider. Both would be great to have lined up behind a D-Day C-47.

I'd venture to a 1/48 vacuform Waco glider myself. It's a ways down my "To Do" list though, but I seriously think the plastic injection mold manufacturers have seriously overlooked a very important aircraft to release at 1/48 in the Waco CG-4A Hadrian glider.

Chant with me now...
1/48 scale plastic injection mold Waco CG-4A Hadrian glider
1/48 scale plastic injection mold Waco CG-4A Hadrian glider
1/48 scale plastic injection mold Waco CG-4A Hadrian glider
...

Current and Subsequent Projects:
1/48 scale Tamiya P-47 "Razorback" - Complete
1/48 scale Testors/Lone Star Models PT-22 Recruit - 20% Complete
1/48 scale Monogram C-47 Skytrain - Not Started

Well,I haven't tried a vac kit yet but I'll try anything twice. As this is the only offering I've seen for a 1/48 glider,I have no choice.I was tossing around the idea of trying to scratch build one so vac can't be any worse.I have a C-47 in invasion stripes that looks loneley. As soon as I can get my hands on the kit I'll let you know how I did. There will be pics for sure.Wish me luck.
