HASEGAWA Ki-43-II OSCAR 1/32 scale
Posted by emo07 on Thursday, February 26, 2004 10:46 PM
Hi,
Has anyone built this model. I just ordered it and need some feedback. If it is as good as the Fw 190-D from HASEGAWA I just completed, I should be happy.
THANKS

Depending on which Hasegawa Fw 190D you built, the Oscar may be a vastly different experience.

If the 190 you built has recessed panel lines, it's the newer kit and the Oscar, while still a decent model for it's age, will pale in comparison. The panel lines are raised and the overall level of detail is not as high as on today's kits. Again, it is a decent kit. Just a bit old...

Thanks,
The Fw 190D9 was the newer recently released kit. Hope the OSCAR is not a let down.

Just dug mine out and took a look. HEY! I was a poet and wasn't aware of the fact... Tongue [:P]

Anyhoo, there are some recessed lines on the kit. The wings have both raised & recessed, but the fuselage is all raised. Not a bad lookin' kit, really. Not quite like I remembered it!

I've been poking around trying to find an online review for 'ya, but no joy so far...
