CRICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I just found this.   That is some of the best wood I have ever seen.  I have a B&W photo of the 1:1 of that aircraft on the wall behind my monitor.  I look at it daily.  Might just put one of these next to it.

Magnificent!  Incredible detail!  That's the most natural looking model I've yet seen!  The wood grain, the propeller, the engine detail, the wing paint job are all perfection!  I can't wait for your encore!!!

Another gem, Sasho! Yes  I really like the wood grain, and the open hatches are a nice touch.  It's a sweet looking bird indeed - what gets me is the size, noticeably smaller than the Pfalz or the Albatros but every bit as sleek.

I'm stunned!!

I have been building ships since I got back into building plastic models 3 years ago but I've collected about two dozen aircraft in my stash. Several of them are biplanes.

Your model makes me want to start practicing on some of them right away! The wood grain you've created is really wonderfully realistic as are all the details I see (engine, etc.) on the aircraft you've built. What a great inspiration!  Thanks for posting the pictures!

All I can say is just WOW! That is one super fine build. The engine detail looks fantastic and the wood graining looks just right. Great job all around, specially that hand carved prop. Simply stunning details. Toast

Sasho

Great work as always. I have the D Va in the stash and I'm thinking about using decals for the wood as I dont think I will be able to get close to your skill with oils etc to get the effect

Roland DVIa - WnW

Hello people,

this is my latest build - the wonderfull Roland DVIa kit from WnW. I strongly reccomend this kit to anyone, it is wonderfull, i enjoyed every second of the build.
As AM items I added Taurus model Engine spark plugs, lifters, valves and timing gear, Lozenge decals from Aviattic, turnbucles from Gaspatch models, MG barrels from Master models and a custom PE fret made by Szymon. For the wood grain I used oils over acrilycs, the rest is painted with Acrilycs (Tamiya and Gunze) and Alclad for the metal parts.

The propeller is hand carved by myself - teh first time I did something like this and it was easier than expected.

questions, comments, constructive criticism and any feedback are more than welcomed ;)

best regards,
Sasho
