I'll be keeping an eye on this...I have the Testor's 1/32 Nighthawk in my stash, so you'll be giving me some nice inspiration when I get around to it.

sweet build, I have the Testors 32nd scale kit in my stash, but this one has a great trump over the other, my kits wings are separate pieces so more seams, I like the way Trumpeter did theirs.

Great progress too

This is looking great, I myself like to scratchbuild detail for my builds, but I am nowhere near as good as what this is looking, I'll definitely be paying attention to this build!

Welcome to the forums Jeromech.

I'm in awe of this build so far - that's some excellent scratching!  What do you use as a reference? Did you buy a reference book or just google or did you work on the plane?

This is great!  I've been building the same kit over the past year or so myself as work and family time (and computer desk space) allow.  You've done a lot of the same additions I worried about on mine.  It's really a shame that Trumpeter didn't do just a bit better with their design and molding here.  It's not a "bad" kit by any measure, but given the resources they had available, it comes off as just lazy or maybe more accurately apathetic for them to have missed so much of the obvious.

I will say that the new Aires cockpit update is a masterpiece, and the Eduard exterior set in particular really helps to tart up the outside and much of the wheel wells.  I've got a couple build threads on mine if you care to look - and thought about posting one here as well, but It's tiresome enough trying to keep two pages updated.  I'd rather be building!  :)  But you can peruse through all my mistakes and work-arounds here if you like.

If the above link doesn't work, it's over on LSP's forums:

Great build so far.  Can't wait to see how you finish it off!

Cheers,

Brian~
