Dead Mens Secrets, tonight at midnight EST, is the second showing which includes some great footage of Luftwaffe A/C, flying bombs, V-2s.

I've never seen this kind of footage before.

Just thought I might catch you late owls in time.

Neat show, I haven't seen it before. There was some 3-D animation showing the He-111 using with the ground radar to bomb England.

I saw the show and its the first time I ever seen anything about a German aircraft carrier. Does anyone have info on German aircraft carriers and what type aircraft were on them?

James - I never knew of a German carrier either until I saw a large scale model of the Graf Zeppelin (carrier) at the Speyr Teknik Museum in Germany.

I have some friends over there, so I will ask if they know what aircraft might have flown from it. It seems to me that it was never put into action, but I may be wrong.

You might try asking down in the ship modeling section, also.

It appears Revell make a kit for the Graf Zeppelin. Here's the gen that goes with it.

The Graf Zeppelin was the one and only German aircraft carrier, but it was never completed or used. As the only german ship in this class it deserves a special place. She was to have a crew of 1720 men and carry 110 aircraft; displacement 27.750 tons. In 1939 the first doubts were expressed on her operation usability. In April 1940 construction was halted and in July the Graf Zeppelin was towed to Gotenhafen. In Dezember 1942, the G.Z. was towed to Kiel for construction to continue and, after a general shipbuilding stoppage at the beginning of 1943, in April 1943 she was taken to Stettin. In 1945 the Graf Zeppelin ws sunk at her moorings by a demolition squad, but in March 1947 she was raised by the Soviet navy and then in June she was finally sunk by torpedoes.

The A/C involved were the Bf-109T and the Ju-87, it seems like I read somewhere that there was a scout squadron involved flyong Fieslers, but I'm not sure of the type, it wasn't the storch though. Hope this helps. BTW A european company makes the 109T but I'm not sure who or what scale. Maybe some of the other guys know more about this.
