Just completed this gorgeous kit. It was simply a joy to build it. All parts fit like a glove and details are nice. It did need help in the wheel wells and engine auxiliary doors where plumbing was added. The cockpit was IMO excellent but I did add Eduard seat belts and hoses and lines to the Martin -Baker seats. Cut my own mirrors from left over pe scrap material. The decals were excellent also and counted about 350 decals and stencils used on this model!

Looks really good PJ, I love your weathering, and the Sundowners tail is just great.  Is that the CAG aircraft?

Thanks guys! Yes it's a CAG bird and tried keeping it pretty clean. I pre shaded the panel lines and for weathering used artist oils for streaking and washes. Documented the entire build for future FSM publishing  consideration. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

That looks great!  I'm definitely gonna get one of these in the near future.  Hopefully I can do it justice like you have!

I'm going to have to get mine back out and give it a serious go. This is just wonderfully inspiring. I do need to get some resin seats. I do feel they are the only weakness of the kit OOB. I don't have the patience and skill set to scratch them up...and if I have to buy belts might as well buy the whole shebang.

Thanks gents for the kind words, much appreciated.

dflu...The seats are not bad at all. Just a couple of wires and stencils here and there but the belts are a must. You could skate on that if the included figures are used.

I agree. I don't think they are bad...just need harnesses...I just figure if I'm gonna buy those might as well get some hyper detailed resin seats. I was mulling the idea of doing the build in launch condition...thus using figures...could be an option.

I thought about incorporating the Skunk Models Catapult set up as a diorama setting but then the slats and nose gear strut needed surgery making the build a bit more complex but maybe next time.
