Revell 1/32 He 162A-2 Salamander

Gidday everyone, just finished off this model this week. It is OOB build except for some wiring and piping added to the engine to liven it up and I gave it a pitot tube cover, made from tamiya tape.
This model is White 1, 1.JG1, Lt. Rudolf Schmitt, Leck, May 1945.

I used both Italeri and Tamiya paints for the exterior paint work, gave it it a dark dirt wash and a final coat of the Vallejo matte polyurethane to dull it down. Base is mdf with plaster of paris to make the "dirt" and I airbrushed the plaster and added some static grass.

Over all I enjoyed the build with only a few little niggles along the way. I did like how the Tamiya extra thin welded the styrene on this kit as it took minimal putting to clear seams, perhaps it is Revell's plastic  they use?
Thanks for looking

Great looking build, really like what you have done with this. Nice base as well.

Excellent work, I built the same kit two years ago when I first started doing scale models again after ~25 years. Needless to say yours looks so much better. I'm planning to redo this plane again in "what if" camo.
