Sounds like a great idea Marty. I think it will be cool to have an Eagle GB in the near future.

Yo PJ,

Correct, mine had non of the offensive weaponry. $ 20 is a rocking deal.  I'm seeing a Hase Weapons set in my future.  Maybe we should start an Eagles  Eyrie GB,  Thoughts?

Best, Marty

Got ya covered my friend. I found a site for the restoration center:

www.museumofflight.org/restoration-center

and here is the Museum of Flight:

http://www.museumofflight.org/

If you look in the background in the photo on the restoration center home page you can see the F7U.

The Legends of Flight Museum (Seattle) has a website but, I'm not sure if the restoration facility has their own. Unsure if there might be a link on the museum site.

MAgther

About 4-5 weeks ago I snagged on Ebay a 1/48 Pro Modeler F-15 which brings a TON of mud moving munitions for $20 including shipping.  I was reading the reviews and it says that the current Revell rebox left  out  all the ordinance the Pro Modeler version includes making it a better value.

Joe

Thanks! Too bad your camera went kaput at such a critical time! Does that Museum have a web site?

Nice score PJ. Last month I made a trip up to the Seattle area and while there I took a tour of the restoration facility for the Legends of Flight Museum. They are in the process of restoring an F7U Cutlass. It was very cool. The front landing gear on it is quite impressive. Unfortunately, my camera gave up the ghost before I went in so I don't have any really cool pics to share with you.Bang Head

I stumbled across a 1/48 Revell F-15 E with some AM decals for $24 shipped the other day, 10 minutes left. What can I say?  i'm not sick, I can stop any time I want to.

The 1/48 F-4E $35 and free shipping is great but I bet you could have found one cheaper if you looked around since I think that was around how much they were when they came out but still cheaper than what they are asking for for the Hasegawa version.

Every time I go to a show I search all the vendor tables for this kit and have yet to see one. The cheapest one I have seen on Ebay was about $21 + shipping which brought it close to $35. Sellers are padding the shipping to offset the shipping fee Ebay is charging now.

Received a couple of fantastic kits on Ebay. First one is a Pro Modeler 1/48 F-4E, factory sealed for $35 and free shipping. This is actually is a Hasegawa rebox, being one of their later efforts with the recessed panel lines and two sheets of decals.

I also picked up a 1/72 Fujimi F7U-3 Cutlass for $7 + shipping. I read great reviews on this model so I decided to get this unusual looking aircraft. The reviews were right  as a closer look reveals it to be a beautiful detailed model with recessed panel lines, nice cockpit and excellent decals. This one in a Navy NMF will certainly be a looker and a prime candidate for Alclad.  There is no AM stuff available for it but it will look great as a OOB.

Fujimi is pretty good with their kits their 1/48 BF-109G/K kit is pretty good too The Cutlass is actually the steal. The 1/48 F-4E $35 and free shipping is great but I bet you could have found one cheaper if you looked around since I think that was around how much they were when they came out but still cheaper than what they are asking for for the Hasegawa version.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6
