Help on Luftwaffe Splinter colors
Posted by STFD637 on Sunday, June 8, 2014 9:20 AM

Hey everyone,

Looking for some direction on the correct colors for Bf-110 JG26 zestroyer. Italeri shows the 71/70 color reference for their kit. However looking online I have seen it as 65/74/75 RLM for this plane. Any ideas?

Thanks

Travis

Can you be more specific about the variant, and which period of the war. Both options could be correct, all depending on the time frame.

It is a BF 110 C3 6/ZG76. From my research I am looking to do early war (Battle of Britain) A/C. This would have been when they went to the roll of "Zerstroer" as they were not able to function without fighter escort and the Stukas had been descimated. I am building it with a bomb load.

Italeri calls out Light Ghost Gray for bottom, european Green and Field Green for top splinters. So I would guess that would be RLM 70/71?

Thanks for any help.

Travis.

At that stage of the war it should be RLM 65 underneath (light blue) and 70/71 topside.
