Well, I have about a week before some other builds start up and have caught the jet bug...this has pushed aside some other builds that I wanted to finish or progress more on but I've had Eduard's 1/48 Mirage IIICJ Weekend Edition in my meager stash for a couple months. I've started out slowly, trying to take my time with this one.
The seat is the best I have worked on in any previous kits...6 parts total. Only thing I'll need to add are seat belts.
Just finishing Italeri's 1/48 Eurofighter and doing 3 inflight airplanes prior to that, this is the first cockpit I'll have that I will actually care about being seen...and a nice one it is at that.
The kit comes with decals for only one plane...set during summer of an Operation Branch...anybody know what that was? It says for summer of 1970 which was during the "war of attrition" however, I have not found anything under that name. I am still deciding if I want to buy AM decals for a plane during the Yom Kippur with the more interesting Identification triangles on it.
So my two questions thus far are:
Does anybody know what Operation Branch, in which the 101st Tayeset took part of?
What is the interior color of one of these birds? (I've been getting mixed results in my searches)
