Brandon

I will let you know once I get it and start working on the kit. Most PE instructions look complex but they add tons of detail where it counts. What I like about folding the wings on this beast is the different look and display space gained. The completed sets go for over $30 if you can find them as they were discontinued years back.

I saw that set on EBay as well. I am very curious to see how it plays out with your build. From the instructions, to me anyway, it looks very complicated. It may be a bit more than I want to try with PE. Oh well, I'm not starting on the Helldiver for awhile. I'll have time to explore both options more.

I used Wolfpack's wing fold on this Blue Whale and was very pleased with the fit and utility. Unfortunately it didn't come with a tail fold which I had to scratch. This is Hasegawa's 1/72 kit which came with resin conversion pointy nose and tailgun. Decals were custom made.

I paid $10 for the sealed Pro Modeler Helldiver kit at a model show and wanted to get this wing fold set but find it pricy at $27 + shipping.

I did find this on Ebay and ordered a set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/KMC-48-5078-PhotoEtch-Brass-1-48th-scale-SB2C-HELLDIVER-Wingfold-Set-Beautiful-/151340378000?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item233c96e790

I read the reviews on this PE set and it was rated as very good. The seller does not provide the instructions or the resin  hinges which I can scratched out of plastic sheet. A copy of the instructions is found here: http://modelingmadness.com/scott/detailsets/kmc485078.htm

I've used their A-6 and F/A-18 wing fold kits.  I was pleased with both.  Can't comment specifically on the SB2C set.

I have a Promodeler Helldiver I would love to add this kit to. Does anyone out there have any experience with this company and their kits?

Here is what I want for my Helldiver.
