No, Hemp is a differnt shade, more grayish. The RAF uses it on aircraft like the Nimrod, Victor, and VC-10.
Compare the Hemp on this tanker to the Desert Sand on the Tornados

The official shade is Sand, ANA 316 or FS#30279. In the MM line they have the proper color. And if you want to go really frugal it comes in the little Testors square bottles as well, Flat Tan, 1167. Bottom should be Neutral Gray. I personally think that the little square bottle shade looks closer to the so called "Tittie pink" shade than the Model Master 316 shade does. Have a look at the LHS for yourself and decide. As a side note, the RAF used the same color on its' strike aircraft in 1991 during the Gulf War.
I'm on a B-24 kick right now and I was thinking about building a 1/72 scale B-24D from the North Africa Area of operations. Nothing special just a Cheap kit but I would like to use the Snow White decals I seen on Ebay Can someone help with the color for the Sand I use Model Master enamel paints. Maybe a simple dio with a couple of them on the ramp.
