Bish
Great looking build, what are those markings under the cockpit, I am guessing not kill markings.

From what I can discern from period photographs I believe they are eyes to signify missions.  Interesting pick of marking for a reconnaissance unit.

My recent build completed for the Braille Scale GB.  It is Italeri’s 1/72 P-51A that I have marked as an F-6A of the 111th TRS.  Aside from the decals I also added Eduard PE, brass barrels along with resin wheels and exhaust stacks.  Next in my 111th saga will be a P-51D in their post-war National Guard scheme, also from a 1/72 Italeri kit.
