Hasegawa 1/72 F-4E

Amazingly enough, I've finished my second kit this year, and the second in as many weeks; most of the work was done last year. It was a Christmas gift, and I hadn't built an "E" yet. I'm not enthused with Hasegawa's Phantoms; they look the part, but the parts breakdown due to having a common mold can cause some fit issues, which prevents me from paying top dollar for them. I do like the fact that I get to have a lot of spare parts for other builds once I'm finished. The kit decals scared me as they seemed really thick, but they settled down well. I had hoped to get it done for the Fourth, but it wasn't to be.

I really like this build,,,,,especially knowing what the kit looked like when you opened the box.

After all of your work, you ended up with the best of all of the E models in the scale,,,,,with a decal scheme that really catches the eye.

And you get an official "I conquered the Hasegawa" Phantom builder's badge (plus you will never say "Shake N Bake kit" again, lol)

great model, Glenn

Too bad the kit came with the AIM-4 rails instead of the AIM-9 sidewinder rails. The Hasegawa weapon set came in handy with mine since it also contained the F-4 specific sidewinder rails. I still need to finish my Hasegawa F-4E I'm still trying to finish up the Vietnam specific SEA camouflage on it then finish assembly.
