Like I said there are many simialr kits out there, tend to be pricey and tough to assemble.

Saturday at the show in Richmond, some guy entered a PE kit of a tiny 1/160 (!) Gee-Bee R-1! The thing was phenomenal, but complete with ribs, bulkheads, supports, seatbelts and a control stick that came up right in front of the tiny seat! I unfotunately can't remember the manufacturer of the kit, but it was totally PE.

Yes, you could.

Over here there are many pure PE kits out consisting of planes, cars, trains, insects, Dinosaurs they vary from skinned to the internals only.

Said that most of them are rather small scale (HO and similar).

Here are some samples that I could easily find:

I don't know if PE would be strong enough, it seems to bend everytime I touch it at least. I guess if you actually made every single rib it might hold up, but I think that it would be better to make the ribs styrene stock, and the rest PE. Confused [%-)] Just an idea anyway.

PE parts question

Here is one to ponder. I know that PE parts can be made at home. Although I would never do it. At least not where I live now. I wonder if you could make a whole plane out of PE parts. Make the inner supports, the walls, and the skin out of PE. I know this sounds weird but I wonder if the PE parts would have the strength for something like that.
