That is one well worn Emil and very well done.  I applaud the wheels up and pilot in the seat.  The pics were so clear, no way to hide the warts.......if there were any.

I can't imagine Libya 1941 to be easy on aircraft :) As for the magnets, there's a single 8mm on the top of the rod and inside are 2 stacked 12mm magnets. The top colors are actually RLM71 and RAF Dark Earth (instead of RLM 2). I'll have to do another with the proper colors to get a proper review ;)

But yeah, seriously, if anyone is interested I'll sell it for $80 shipped.

That is one knackered 109,  but does look cool.

Also brilliant display idea with the magnets - I take it there a strip of actual metal in the fuselage, with the magnet being located in the rod?

I wonder if the top colours are off due to AK introducing 'Color Reduction Factor' in their paint mixes?

regards,

Jack

Thanks Lion! I used AK's new Luftwaffe set for the most part but there wasn't a good match for the 71 for Black 3 in there. Instead I used Dark Earth from the RAF set. You're right about the contrast being low...

The painting and weathering is simply stunning! Flawless execution overall. My only nitpick would be the RLM 02/71 are somewhat too low contrast. I can't say which one is off but one of the colors seems to be...

Magnets. :D

Very clever. I've recently seen online the use of magnets in Warhammer builds, but never thought of them for displays like this.

Brillant!  This is a great looking 109.  Thanks for sharing.  =]  I love seeing my builds with the gear up.  So far I have been drilling holes to insert a brass rod.  I do like how this turns out, but I haven't considered magnets before.  Just goes to show ya. Might have to look into that.  =]

Very very nice! The weathering and paint job look awesome!

How have you attached the stand? I can't see any holes in the underside of the model.
