Hey ajd,

If the newest Revell release of the 39 has .50 pods then I believe this 39 is a re-pop of the Pro Modeler(Monogram) P-39Q kit.

This kit contained the .50 pods that you are looking for along with some photo etch that is for the pods, landing gear along with a couple vents for the Q variant.

 Hope this helps!

 Flaps up,

 Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

NEW Revell P-39 question??
Posted by ajd3530 on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 3:30 PM
So I just recieved an older Monogram P-39 and I am very impressed witb the detail of such a simple, inexpensive kit. However, I had plans to make a "Q" model. But the older Monogram kit does not have the under wing ammo pods for the .50 cal. Thats no problen, because also have decals for a "D" model, so I can just use those one this Monogram kit.

My question is, does the newest Revell release of the P-39 come with all the new parts/sprues that were added for the Pro Modeler kit, which depicted a "Q" model, such as the ammo pods?
