Hasegawa and the lastest Academy Eagles are well rounded in terms of detailing and over all fits. If your looking for an Echo version, I'd go with Revells as it is an excellent kit and rather inexpensive.

I too have heard really good reviews about GWH's F15's.. GWH kits are a bit steeper in price compared to Hasegawa/Academy but they are definitely worth there price!

Eduards release of the F-15 A/C is a repop of an Academy kit.. However Eduard gives you their usual goodies of photo etched, resin and multiple decal choices for markings

Hey Bones I just built that very kit in a group build. But I have to agree with Stik on the Revell F-15E Kit.

To be honest im not sure, but i do have a F-15 by monogram, Im pretty sure its a skill level3... Only thing is, as old as it is the decals were no.longer any good and I tossed them. Be willing to trade it for an equal detailed plane.... F-14A,B or D or F-16. Just throwing it out there if your looking. (: You wont be disappointed.

The new Great Wall Hobby 1/48 F-15B/Ds are getting really good reviews and they are about to release an F-15C version.  These GWH kits will most likely become the best F-15 Kits.

Well I would have to say that the best F-15 in 1/48 is the Revell F-15E. And as much as I like the old Monogram A/C kits, they are ok at best. As is the Testors/Fujimi kit. I can't say anything for or against Tamiya, Hasegawa, or Academy's Eagle kits as I do not own one.

Heard Hasegawa is good, always liked the Monogram myself, built the Tamiya last year and was underwhelmed at the fit and detailing(and the burner cans are incorrect). Haven't tried Academy, but helped a guy with the a/burner cans one one, and those would be better served by using some aftermarket items.

Simple question I know but sure they will be a couple of divergent views.

I have in the stash a Hasegawa F-15 J/DJ but I've been looking at the Eduard F15 A/C limited edition which I know is bases on the Academy kit which has flaws but which F-15 doesn't.

Which ever one I build will be an Aggressor
