Revell Fokker D VII Giant Scale
Posted by stoney on Sunday, August 3, 2014 4:05 PM

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a kit I have called the above name (Kit 398-350). I've Google searched and can find no reference to this kit. It was apparently once sold as a ready to fly (.049) 28.5" C/L model before being offered as a plastic scale model. If anyone can point me to a reference I sure would appreciate it.

There was a 1/28 scale Revell Fokker D-VII, circa late 1990s.  FSM did a review at the time.  I am not aware of any Revell 0.049 gas powered Fokker D-VII kit.

There was an Aurora Fokker D.VII that started out as a control line flyer that was later boxed as a screw together kit. Maybe you're thinking of that.

There's more about it here: www.oldmodelkits.com/index.php

I agree with sobrien about the Aurora kit. In fact there also was a SE-5 kit.  These indeed were C/L kits originally and were held together with screws.  I had both of the kits back in the late 60s or early 70s.

Ok, that's it thanks. Anyone know what they are worth in new condition?
