Tom, click on one of the links on the left hand side (or two of them?)

There is a message forum on there, but, they both are used to post photos of aircraft shot by photogs in Japan that shot the aircraft as they flew in and out of there.

there is an F-4 section, an A-6, etc, etc,,,,,,USAF, USN, JASDF, you name it,,,,,,,hundreds of photos in all

he also has a Gallery section on the USN part,,,,,,again, tons of photos

Rex, This is hugely helpful. I just ordered a copy of the walk-around. The info on gonavy is outstanding. I'll be referring to that site very frequently.

Thanks again,

Some of the BuNo are here, scroll down to the Vietnam cruise and there is a BuNo button.  www.gonavy.jp/CV-CV60f.html

The A-6 Intruder Walk Around has one of those specific aircraft on the title page, in color,,,,,,the tail is

White with Blue and Yellow trim and Oriental style AC codes. (BuNo 155631)

The Fujimi 1/72 Tanker kit included these markings www.1999.co.jp/.../1  (BuNo152913)

It shows better on paper, but, the tail is White.

hope this helps

Question about VA-75 markings at the end of their 1972-73 Westpac cruise.

I've just finished reading Carol Reacher's book, " Launch the Intruders" about VA-75's cruise on Saratoga in 72-73. In it she says that the A-6A's that came back with them on Sara were repainted on board on the way home into the later scheme featuring blue rather than green trim and with the oriental style "AC" tail codes. Does anyone know whether or not the whole vertical fin was painted white to go with the new markings? Was one aircraft painted as a CAG bird? Does anyone have info on bureau numbers? Incidentally, it's and excellent book and I highly recommend it.  Thanks in advance for your help.
