Malcolm canopy for Revell 1/32 P-51B
Posted by Talon Loadmaster on Thursday, August 7, 2014 8:05 PM
First post on this site. I have an old Revell RAF Mustang Kit which has the B-model canopy set instead of the Malcolm Hood. Revell nolonger can provide a Malcolm Hood. Does anyone have one that I can by buy or trade the side/top hatch pieces for? Just reading your posts has me excited about starting to build WW II fighters again after 42 years. A lot has changed with respect to glues, paints, and all the upgrades.

Hi Talon,

Welcome to the forums and welcome back to modeling!!

I have a Revell P-51B Malcolm Hood.

It's yours if you want it just send me an email or let me know you address and I'll get it in the mail for you.

Do you just need the actual Malcolm Hood or all of the canopy glass?

If you want to do a trade for the regular canopy parts, that would be cool also.

Just let me know.

Adrian

This is what I love about this site!  People are willing to help others like this.  I recently asked if anyone had a special decal to replace one I wrecked, and sure enough, someone came to my rescue and mailed one to me.

Thanks to all the generous modelers here!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Adrian,

Thank you. I can't tell you how long I have looked for a canopy. I hope I replied back correctly and you have my mailing address. I will send the hinged canopy parts to you.

After spending a whole Sunday reading about all these building tips, my Mustang is going to take more time to build then I thought.
