Very nice job! Yes  1/72 is too small for these old eyes anymore but you did a great job.

Mississippivol - I do enjoy seeing them packed to the gills with iron bombs. I'd love to get my hands on Trumpeters 1/32 A-7D. Perhaps one day when I've whittled down the stash.

Raymond - thanks! Majority of my stash is 1/72, but slowly phasing them out in favour of 1/48.

You're a better man than me Charlie Brown!  I'd pull my hair out on a 1:72 ;-)  Great looking bird! Raymond

Patel - thanks for the tips. I will have to try and find some flexible metal. At the moment I'm trying to describe using a ruler, but its troublesome when trying to conform to the surface.

Paul - thanks very much!

Hello Chris!

The finished model looks very nice! For rescribing you need to find two kinds of tools for yourself - a scriber, and - that's very important, too - a piece of flexible sheet metal to make templates from. Stainless steel is OK for straight edges, thin copper is good for making your own templates, or for it's ability to hold a curve after it's bent. Keep them babies comin', thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

Howdy,

This is a build i did as part of the 1/72 Braille Scale GB hosted by Waynec.

I picked the kit up for $10 as part of a charity auction at my LHS around 7 years ago. I love anything in Desert camo, so have wanted to build this for a while.

Overall, the kit was ok - better than Hasegawa's 1/72 offering, but that's the only other A-7 i've built. It did lack detail in the front landing gear bay.

Also, some of the instructions were a little vague and i ended up gluing the refueling probe too far back - i'll know for next time though.

I had some fit issues with the air intake and if you look closely, you'll see my shoddy attempt at putty and sanding. Also, you will see my inability to re-scribe, a technique i really need to work on.

Hope you enjoy.
