Not a shado painted on, but I recall a P-51 in white and black "Dazzle" camo.

Same with the A-4 with a MiG 15 painted on it.

yes there were some oddball experimental deceptive schemes tested by the USAAF on various aircraft.

Not that I can think of. But there was a B-24D lead ship that had 2 B-24's painted on its side.

Not a camo or an experiment, but certainly different.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Seems like each country during WW2 had their own version and strategy re camo. I esp like the variations of the Sparviero SM-79. Did anyone ever experiment on a larger plane by painting a smaller plane on it, even in silhouette? It's a weird idea, but come on, twin fuse mustangs, floating tanks, manned V2s. Nothing was too out there. If there's a site for oddball early camo even for all branches of military, that would be great to look over. thx
