ATTN . F104A fans/ the new Italeri 1/32 F-104A/C box art- correct Sidewinders location??

Is Italeri correct in having a pair of fuselage pylon mounted Sidewinders on the jet  w/ bombs also under the wings? Never saw a configuration like this. Is this correct? If wrong, should Italeri be notified? I plan to build this kit & I need to know the correct load.

Thanks,

I am pretty sure the A model never had pylons. If memory serves, which I might be wrong here, but I thought the Germans were the first ones to put pylons under the wings?

The C model could carry weapons on pylons, and while the box art configuration was possible, it is unlikely that it was used in operations other than tests.

Looking at photos of F-104s in Vietnam, it seems that they carried either misiles or bombs, not both at the same time. Kinda hard to find any photos of the fuselage missile rails installed.
