Thanks for the kind words, I am truly surprised I kept my hair too and the kit itself didn’t succumb to my heavy-handedness.  I will be giving this to my father as his first tour to Vietnam was with the 4th Air Commando Squadron on AC-47s.  After showing my brother he asked for something similar.  For many years he crewed AC-130U Spooky II’s with the 4th Special Operations Squadron.  I ordered and received (within days of ordering) my 1/350 L’Arsenal C-130 kit and my brother will be sending a couple coins so another project has begun.  Given I only commit about two hours each Sunday to the hobby due to school work and homework this will take longer than the scale/size would imply.

Wow, nice job!  I'd pull out what's left of my hair working on something that small.

Great build and excellent idea.

We see so much 1/72 scales and up here, it's easy to forget how challenging the micro scales are.

Deattilio - I wanted to see something challenging, well done and interesting today, now I've done just that. Fascinating project and so well done. Thanks for sharing, hope to see lot's more from you.

AC-47 WARNING- have magnifying glass ready

Here is my 1/350 AC-47, yes 1/350.  I used Alliance Modelworks 1/350 PE Dynamic Propellers set for USN WWII Carrier Aircraft and selections from Starfighter Decals 1/350 VF-84 Jolly Rogers 1980 F-14A Tomcat.  As I am doing an Italeri 1/72 AC-47 I used those directions for painting by scanning and scaling down the images.  Three images of each view allowed me to cut out each color of the camouflage and then lay it atop tape to trace and then cut the tape and apply to the model.  Each of the colors were heavily scaled down with white.

Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of my builds for now while I focus on school, classes just started but I already feel weeks behind schedule.
