Spitfire XIV detail sets???
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 1, 2004 8:10 PM
I am getting ready to start a Spit XIV. Not sure on C or E. I am looking for a cockpit detail set with no luck. I have found other detail sets for other variants and am wondering if I could use a cockpit detail set of another Spit variant if the differences are subtle to none. It does not matter which manufacture the detail set is for. Any advice and help is much appreciated.

Route62,

Which kit are you doing? If you're doing the Academy kit, then you really don't need much of a detail set for the cockpit, as the detail is pretty good OOB.

Drop me a line, I just finished 2 Spitfire XIV (a C and E), with a few scratchbuilt details, but no aftermarket stuff except seatbelts.

PS,

You can get away with using a Mk V or IX cockpit set if you really want to.
