Wonderful Phantoms, B! I agree with your opinion of the ESCI kit; only thing really wrong with it was the cockpit, and the only 1/48 kit that ever seems to get it right are the Monogram offerings. I have a C and an E in the closet waiting their turns.

Thanks all.

Pawel to be honest I really did not think about the helmets or masks. Out of habit I painted them with modern colors. Now that I look at it I will most likely end up repainting them at a later date. Thanks for the heads up.

B_one fixer - nice looking Phantoms! Wouldn't that Hawaiian one just fit in the Vietnam group build? I wanted to ask you about those helmets and oxygen masks - is it normal that they are gray? I would expect masks to be black and helmets white - could you please write a few words about that? Thanks for sharing, have a nice day

B1, they look awesome! I like the subtle weathering to see the panel lines on the ANG F4C! Great job!

Just finished up these two side by side builds for the upcoming IPMS meeting here.

The Grey Phantom is the old ESCI kit. I know alot of people bash this kit but I enjoy building them. This was my 3rd ESCI phantom. The hasegawa kit came with an extra set of exhaust cans, so I used them on this kit. I purchased some aftermarket decals printed by cartograf for this kit. I am pretty happy with how everything turned out.

The Camo Phantom is a Hasegawa kit I had sitting in the stash. Everything on this kit is OOB to include the decals. They were old and brittle but I re-clearcoated them and everything came out alright.
