You couldn't have picked a better subject for a collection; there's so many groovy decals out there for Stangs.

Thanks for the heads up on the DWC show...

You might want to check out the excellent resin accessories for the Tamiya 1/48 P-51D that are available from Ultracast, a Canadian based firm. Replacement Props, better flaps, detailed seats with harness and seat belts, etc. They do add a lot to the mostly excellent Tamiya kit.

saltydog are you in on the NMF build? If not join in on the fun finish date is not until Halloween so take your time. email me and let me know. When they finally fix this situation with logging in I will post yours with all the others I have to do. Were there any OD and NG paint schemes on D model Stangs. i know that some had partial like that nice one with the Horse on the tail but I don't think I have seen one in whole OD and NG lore. Thanks

yes, squadron publications show a D model in OD top with NG bottom. i also read a book with "Bud Anderson"(who had 16.5 kills in the european theater) and he flew "Old Crow" which was painted OD during the summer months and he had his crew scrub the paint off during the winter months. later.

Will you jump in on the NMF GB or are you not interested? Due date like I said on Halloween. So you have plenty of time to finish them. Good luck.
