F-18 Tie-down points
Posted by reddog-03 on Saturday, March 6, 2004 5:48 PM
Does anyone have any diagrams or photos of an F-18 tied down to the deck? I'm looking for where the tie-down points are located on the aircraft, the number of chains used on each tie-down point and how the whole thing is configured.

Thanks

Airborne-All the way!

reddog-03,

The tie-down points are on the landing gear, as they are the strongest points on the airframe. The number of chains just depends on who is doing the anchoring. But the pictures mentioned in the above post from mattp say it all..........
