1/48 Monogram A-4 Skyhawk

Heck, he did that many years ago, with one or two appearing in the magazine. They looked like the real thing! Which, I guess, is the whole point, ain't it.......

He was gonna do the same thing with Tomcats? I'd like to see that.....

More than likely they gave a non aviation graphics artist the picture of the left side and told him to make drawings for decals for both sides and he just replicated the UE!

AlI can say is that it's a far cry better than my last A-4!  What an amazing build.  I'd like to echo what Jetmaker stated in that it's a beautiful aircraft from the days back when they had lots of character and style.

That is a great old kit and you did a great job on it.

I used kit decals and that's the way they came. It looks odd, but I'm not going to sweat it. What's interesting is that the shadowing is correct for it. Who knows. There may be some obscure picture that shows it like that.

I think it's a very clean build. On the starboard side of the fin, the UE should be slanted backwards, mirror the port side.

I like it alot, Darren, very nice.

So which Scooter kit is next?

Holy moly!  That is TIDY!  Sweet.....man, that's a lovely model.  I LOVE Heinemann's Hot Rod!  You sure put some lovin' on that model.  Thanks for sharing, mate.

That is beautiful! There's something about the A-4. It's one of those planes from an era when designs had such uniqueness and character
