Chasing the ultimate build.
Thank you for sharing this scapilot! =] I saw 1:32 F-14 and thought yup...*click. This thing must be huge. I really do like the weathering here on this cat. Do you have any other pictures?
Well done.

Is the Phoenix missile system still used or has it been surpassed by something more modern?
Very cool!
I keep looking at this post. lol. All I can think is, "Danger Zone!!!!" =D
Wow, one dirty cat but very nice work! Has to be my favorite aircraft.
BigJim, as far as I know the Phoenix was only used on the F-14.

F-14 was built to carry the Phoenix. As went the Tomcats, so too went the Phoenix's.
VERY nice build, you nailed the weathering.

That facebook gallery thing is cool, but pix are small. I'd paruse thru them if they were larger. Nice work tho. You say you built this on commission? Didn't know there was a market for that kind of thing......nice.

Fly-n-hiBigJim, not only has the AIM-54 been surpassed...so has the F-14!
Gorgeous model but that would definitely be too big for my apartment!

Thanks a lot guys. It is a huge model for sure.
The Tomcat is my favorite jet and the squadron marking combinations are endless. Truly a magnificent model that should make your customer very happy.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
What a job! Full time model building?!?! You must have quite the "shop" setup.
Lol. I feel you. It is a large piece. I'm in the process now of repainting a 1:18 tomcat. Kind of makes the trumpeter kit seem like a keeper
