Good call on the pit. Italeri's 1/72 Phantom is what I remember from the Testor's boxing, but I notice engraved panel lines on that one. Reminds me of the ESCI/Scalecraft boxing from many years ago.

I love the ESCI kit. It looks like Italeri included some new parts for it in their release. I found that the Hasegawa cockpit actually fits with little effort. That's really the only downside to the ESCI/Italeri kit. Your's is looking very nice.

WOW, it looks like it was worth all of your effort.

The "shading " is so subtle and just perfect to my eye.  Did you preshade the panel lines or is it your color variation over- spray creating the shaded effect ?  My that looks good.

TY for the explaination Jug.  I'm going to try implementing your technique on my B-26 whenever I get that far. Again, that looks very cool.

Well after a huge problem with the decals breaking up, I had to wait for a new set sent to me by a good chap on another website. In the mean time I also got in the awesome Phantom stencil set from Kitworld, so it's full steam ahead and I think i'm going to be busy for a good few days with over 150 stencils to be added.....

45 minutes to do this - one side only, this is going to be tedious!
