I used Model Master paints, gunmetal on the cylinders/heads, dark gull grey on the crankcase/supercharger, IJN green on the magneto, aluminum on the rocker shafts and intake runners, dunlkegrun for the oiltank, and a gold/aluminum/gunmetal mixture for the prop shaft and the ignition ring and high tension lead, as well as the dry brushing on the cylinders/heads, bronze on the prop bushing, armor sand on the ignition wires/coils.
As you can see, two of the ignition wires popped loose from the rocker shaft attachment points. I would recommend that anyone doing this kit put a little heat to them to contort them as there is a stiffness to them. The dullcoat did a bit of a number on the engine stand, but all in all, I'm pleased with how it turned out.
