ROG 1/32 Spit IIA and FW190 F-8
Posted by plasticjunkie on Monday, May 18, 2015 1:57 PM

Went to a local model show and bought the brand new 1/32 ROG Spit IIA for $20. Not much room for negotiating a lower price since it's a brand new kit. I read a couple of favorable reviews and they were right on the money. It's a very well detailed kit.

Right after the show I stopped at my LHS and just happened to spot the brand new ROG  1/32 FW190 F-8 on the shelf for $26.99 so I grabbed it too. Again the reviews were very positive and what a kit it is! It has a full engine, hollowed exhaust pipes and gun barrels, well detailed gear bays and more. I think it follows the detail line as in the 1/32 Arado 196 release of a couple of years back. Looks like ROG hit a double Home Run with both kits, and the prices are just great!.

Just got a text saying my 1/32 Fw-190 was just delivered.  Really looking forward to it.

You will love that model when you open the box. Check out the display stand.

Got the kit today:)  Courtesy of the USPS which used the box as a spare tire on one of their trucks....  Luckily nothing was damaged as far as I can see.  Looks like a really nice kit.  No swastikas but I can scrounge some from other places.  Box is almost twice the size of the 1/32 Bf-109 they released earlier.  Engine parts look great.
