Off The Wall: Botswana CF-5

In southern Africa a small country with nice people lives in a rough neighborhood. A single squadron of CF-5 are maintained for routine air space defense duties, and light ground attack.

The aircraft's serial number OJ 7 is a strange coincidence. Not a reference to OJ Simpson.

It is the old Matchbox 1/72 scale F-5A. I made the decals on my desktop computer with the GIMP program from GNU, and printed them out on testors clear, and white decal paper. Printed them on my cannon inkjet paper.

I was researching the F-5A because yhe kit came in USAF markings and CAF markings. I wanted to put it in markings of another country that I didn't have an airplane in. Botswana was on the list and I found photos on acig.org. It was an interesting build. The LAU-10 was from my spares stash.
