1/72 ITALERI MB 326 "ROULETTES" RAAF AEROBATIC DISPLAY TEAM
Posted by Grant Dalzell on Saturday, May 30, 2015 11:44 PM

Hello all, just finished off this build of 3 "Roulettes" I know they are all the same aircraft number, but I am only keeping 1 for myself and photos look better with the 3 in them.

I think this is an old kit from Italeri? As it is raised panel lines. But the kit includes the Roulette decals which I think is a fantastic touch, if only more manufacturers would get on board with some RAAF kits (without needing to buy heaps of conversion parts). OOB except for some lead wire on the landing gear. Masking was tedious and Tamiya really love me for the amount of tape I used.

The aluminium is Vallejo model air, the white and orange are Italeri acrylics (really liking the Italeri acrylic paints). And finished off with a few coats of Klear. No wash on these as they were kept clean plus the raised panel lines would not have worked well with a wash anyway.

I really like the little Macchi, and it takes me back to when I was a child watching the Roulettes at airshows. I much prefer them over the Pilatus PC-9

Very nice, clean builds.  They do look great parked in formation together.

Great builds Grant!  Nice looking base too.  Right amount of dirt and grime.  Keep up the good work and keep those pics coming.

It takes plenty of guts and patience to build 2 beautiful planes at once.  But 3 ...  ?  Man, you rule!  Beautiful builds!
