Except for some subtle differences in the IP instrument set up you should be ok. They even share the same seats which were different in the D.
Which A are you working on? If it's the Monogram/Revell one I would keep the kit pit as it's very nicely detailed. I have the Avionix set for an Italeri B that really needs the improvement.
