Thanks guys, appreciate the comments.

Greg

I used some black MMP weathering powder to dirty up the swing fold area.

Sweet Tomcat, Ernie.

I like the way you weathered the wings where they fold in. Great effect.

PJ -  That's just a great job, totally looks like the real deal. Thanks for the post and photos.

I did find a review, which I think is the same kit, on another site. I would not mind adding a later Tomcat, might have to try and find one of these.

Thanks for posting the pics.

My apologies for a separate picture post but I had originally posted everything together and don't know what happened.

Thanks Bish and glad you like the kitty, specially coming from the 1/72 guru. This is an older kit as the manual says 2002 and came off eBay. You are correct about it being way cheaper than Hasegawa.

UM

I'm with you there too. It's small but the details are great.

Lovely looking build there PJ. Its a relly nice finish.

Is this a new Revell kit. I know a few of there new 72nd kits easily rival hasegawa but at a fraction of the price.

I just completed this kitty as a commission for a gentleman and I have to say that I'm truly impressed with the level of detail this small kit packs. The pit is very well detailed but unfortunately does not include the canopy mechanism to display it in the open position. The fit over all was very good so I will be watching out for this kit at the model shows. I'm a 1/48 builder but comparing it to the larger scale has about the same detail and saves buku display space so multiple units can be displayed. It is way cheaper than the more detailed Hasegawa but is still a very good model.

Here are the kitty's claws, JDams and Lantirn pod from the Hasegawa weapons set, the Winders, Sparrow  and AIM54 are from the kit.
