1/72 VX-4 Phantom formation
Posted by Darren Roberts on Sunday, June 14, 2015 2:06 PM

This was a project I've wanted to do for a long time. Awhile back, I was able to get ahold of a Revell Blue Angels diamond formation set. This was purely a "for fun" build, so I didn't bother with cockpits (Tamiya Smoke took care of that) and I really didn't correct anything. The colors are mixed to try and match photos, although the photos don't even match! Markings are from Superscale.

I've seen that picture, but didn't even relate it to that kit. Really cool!

That looks really good! Love the paint schemes on the old F-4. You did those kits proud!

Gosh, I remember building that F-4 Blue Angels set when I was an early teen back in the late '70s. Hadn't even thought about it until I saw this thread. Great job on it, Darren!
