Any one know where I can get decals for the 33 TFW 58 TFS. I am looking for the wing patch and squadron patch in 1/32 scale to go on my Revell 1/32 F-4E. I only need one of each.

Hey Berny,

Check out www.geocities.com/patchtrader43

It is a site for folks to trade unit patches and there are very often some rather unusual patches, not just your regular thrift store fare.

N.

My bad Berny, I just re-read your post. I thought you wanted a life size unit patch, and 1/32 unit markings. Ooops.

nwilliams. I have several full size patches, but they just wouldn't look good on a 1/32 scale model.Big Smile [:D]

How do you know until you try?Tongue [:P] Maybe you could start a new modeling trend. I have seen unit patches stuck to diorama bases, putting one on an A/C wouldn't be such a stretch. Just spend a couple hundred hours building a model and take a nasty ol' glue stick and lay that patch right across the top of the fuselage.

I'll let you go ahead and try it first and let me know how it goes.Wink [;)]

Is this your way of getting back at me for picking the F-86 over the F-8 as the best fighter?Tongue [:P]

Berny,
That really hurts, I was offering you a chance to be at the forefront of a revolutionary new trend in our hobby; and you respond with an accusatory comment like that. I would expect nothing less.

And I don't mind if you prefer the F-86 over the F-8. You have every right to be wrong.Smile [:)]

O.K. joking aside, I think I may actually paste a unit patch to one of my older models and enter it into a contest; just to see the crowd reaction. I'm sure I'd recieve plenty of , "Hmmm, very interesting" responses, out of politeness. And just for kicks I will put on some funky non matching unit patch. Maybe a 1st armored div. patch on a Navy F-18. This could be fun!

You can get decal paper that goes in your computer printer. Around here they it for $7.50. I wonder if it printing onto a blank space on a decal sheet you already have would work. If you need to resize the shield you might check out http://www.myimager.com/

Tank

That is the wing patch. The only problem is my printer does not print decals very good. They turn out a runny blob of colored ink. I have the Canon BJC-5000 and it will do anything but print decals and make coffee.
