There is only one company at the moment making the pit for it, unfortunately from what I have heard is that it has no instructions which makes it a bit difficult to assemble. The company name is GT Resin and I have seen it on eBay for under $60. I really can't justify spending almost twice what the kit cost me in just the resin pit.

I too have the new Revell F4-G and hope that Aires comes out with one hopefully for less $.

That's what i was thinking too. It's a nice pit but, wow! The super detail set is cool, even on sale it's just just too much. I think  I'll try to build my own detail. Thanks for the reply.

You can get away with any aftermarket seat or detail set for an E model, and it would look great. Add a little tlc to the instrument panel and you would be good to go.

I am building one of these right now. The biggest improvement the cockpit needs is new bang seats, which are easily found for a reasonable price. Cockpit sidewall detail, one of the other main shortcomings, can be scratched without too much difficulty from styrene, wire, etc. instrument decals such as those by Airscale will also dress up the IPs.

Great idea! Why the *&%% didn't I think of that! Man it's nice to be able to ask others what they think. This forum rocks! Thanks a million. I'm going to order a pit right now.

That sounds like a possibility. I have to dig out my F-4 in detail book to compare the E and G IP configuration which should be different specially the screens.

The majority of the changes to the IPs are for the rear seater. He had the detection gear scopes and would talk the pilot to the threat locations/directions.
