Hand Brushed models completed

That's really nice work. I subscribe to a couple of British aircraft modeling mags, and brush paint is the norm. It's a skill for sure, but I like to do it too.

My only thing, it's an exercise in futility without good brushes. I've kind of let my modeling ones get beat up, so this makes me think about some new ones.

I used to paint icons, or as Fr. Brendan says "write" them since they are a form of prayer. I have a couple of sets of good brushes, that can't be used for modeling, but they taught me to treat them like a partner and keep them in good shape.

I appreciate your skill.

Great work!  The stick and tissue builds look great too.  Built soooooo many of them years and years ago.  Still build one every now and then for the fun of it.

WHAT A MODEL ROOM !!!

Everyone needs a "mental health" escape cave and u have one that must lift your spirits sky high!!

I found if I thin enamels with acryllic lacquer thinner they can be hand painted with surprising good results !! But  lightly brush and always keep your brush loaded with paint!! Make sure you brush in one direction and do NOT go back and forth, just lightly lay it on.

BUT you MUST have really good -yes the $$ is worth it brushes. I picked up a bunch at Hobby Lobby on sale and THEY DO make the difference.

In addition VALLEJO Paints hand brush brush well too-yes thin them to 2% milk consistency. I do this so my son can paint his models when I can't be home for him to use the airbrush!!
