Questions about VF-111's F-4 Phantoms
Posted by PTConsultingNHR on Saturday, October 17, 2015 9:57 AM

Hey Guys?

My brother just found a complete kit of an Airfix 1:72 F-4 Phantom in our basement. I had TRUEDETAILS wheels and P/E from TRUEDETAILS for the cockpit and MICROSCALE decals for a VF-111 Phantom in the box. One more project for Stan! YES!

OK, my questions are:

Were those Phantoms gray over white?

Were they equipped with these?

Thanks,

Yes, gull gray over white, and it might have had MB. Mark 5 seats if the time period was 1966 or before, as you didn't specify what model Phantom. The mark 5 seats are only available in resin from Hypersonic models.

Hi Nathan,

I've been told it is a F-4N from 1974-75 on the CORAL SEA.

Those Aires seats will be just fine then.

And, ... just now, my older brother just placed a bid on VERLINDEN's 1:72 Phantom seats on Ebay.  But there is 6 more days on that.  Dang it.
