1/72 Airfix MK1 Spit Instructions Anyone?
Posted by SubarooMike on Friday, October 30, 2015 10:38 PM

 Hello everyone!

      A little while ago I snagged Airfixs new tooled MK1 spit for a rock-bottom price.   It just happend to be one of their "starter sets".  They provide a full decal sheet, but when it comes to the decal instructions they really dummed it down and only provided instructions for the placment of the roundels, tail stripes, and letters.   I know where a few of the stencils go, but not all.  The only insturctions I could find online wrere a little hard for me to see (lowish quality).  Does anyone have this kit and can scan the instructions for me?    Thanks for your time! Airfix has me in a childish fitStick out tongue

IIRC Airfix starter sets do not have stencils included. With the basic Kit (A01071A) the decal placement is illustrated on the back of the box. Is that what you want?

I don't have the starter set, but is good to know that they don't (normally?) have stencils - maybe Airfix put them in by mistake?

I do have the Spitfire I/IIa boxing, but due to limitations in resolution, it's difficult to read the actual stencils, and only helps if the identifying red numbers for their placement is identical to what you require;

regards,

Jack

I love saving any bit of money I can, but sale or not ill just not buy the starter kit next time. It's kind of a dent on my ego anyway LOL

 That should work!  Thanks a lot!
