Really nice work!!! Great job on the colour demarcation lines, something I find a bear to mask and paint. 

BTW: I was working on the Promodeler kit and had to shove it back in the box for awhile. I'm not sure it's that big an improvement at all.

That's a bummer that you're having trouble with the PM version. Trust me, it is leaps and bounds better than the original Monogram Helldiver. The original is a fun, nostalgic build, but lacks details. The PM/Accurate Miniatures kit is absolutely gorgeous.

Could very well be the problem is the modeler and not the model here. The kit is nicely detailed and most of it fit pretty well. But the wing roots were giving me fits. Seemed they didn't want to fit without 2-3mm gaps and I had the dihedrel messed up a few times. I think I pulled them off and replaced them about 2-3 times. 

Nice finish!  It is an old kit, but not all that bad, but your finish really dresses it up, well done!

The ProModeller kit is a completely different kit, and out of the box, you can build a nice model of the Beast, too.

You can go really nuts and super-detail it like Chukw did several years ago.  You can find his build thread through a search.  But even if you don't go to the lengths he did, it's a pretty good model, too.

Wow thanks Baron! Guess it is me instead of the kit, Chukw's Helldiver turned out incredible! I'm going to have to go though those 29 (!) pages to see how he did his...

Nice job on that golden oldie.  Its always fun to "slap" one together.  However, yours looks far from beging just slapped together.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, If I ever get a chance to get a hold of a pro moddeler version I will definateley give it go. I know everything after market is geared to that kit vs the original.

I was surprised to find the ProModeler version at my LHS in the summer of 2014. There was no way I was going to pass it up.
