It took me 7 weeks, but here it is at last:

Vought OS2U-1 Kingfisher, scout plane & light bomber

USS Arizona, US Navy, VO-1

Sunk at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, December 7, 1941

(Airfix A02021)

The Dutch Fokker G-1 Reaper, heavy fighter. If we only would have had more of them back in May 1940....

WOW, you have done an absolutely stunning job on this little plane.  Until I saw the pic of you holding it, I would've sworn it was a larger scale.  i have a 1/48 in my stash and I hope it turns out near as well.

Wow, super job! I knew it was a small plane but still the photo of her in your hand looks tiny.

Zowee, you made an excellent job of this. The wire bracing turned out perfectly, what nice work it is. Thanks for post and photos.

I like it!  Never been much of a WW2 plane collector, but the Kingfisher is one of the rare exceptions. Much like a secret fetish... Wait, that didnt come out right.

Thank you guys! It was a joyful build. Scratchbuilding the interior and adding all kind of little thing to the exterior. Too bad that the canopies are so crude. But hey, the tooling is from 1962 !
