Revell Blackburn Buccaneer 1/72

I bought this kit recently and discovered it doesn't have external stores or even the hard points in the kit. I was wondering if anyone knows a good aftermarket kit for its internal weapons bay or  its external stores?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, I was cutting it off the sprue when I noticed it was a Matchbox kit copyright 1974 Lesney Prod PLC. This mold is almost as old as I am.

Thanks, I feel so much younger. I was on my second tour in S.E.A. at that time.

It's way past time for Airfix to issue a new tool Buccaneer.

This from Hyperscale.

"There is a swathe of aftermarket products to improve the accuracy and detail of these old kits, with Freightdog, Airwaves and Heriatge being notable in this regard. Aeroclub, Maintrack, Neomoega, The Model Works, The Final Touch, and even SAM magazine, have all offered aftermarket correction and detail sets as well."

Who knows anymore?

There's something I always liked about the Buccaneer.  But then I like the Lightning with its stacked engines and am getting used to the Gannet too.

The Lightning is the most unique looking aircraft.

Then there's the PZL23.  I kind of like that one too.  It grew on me when I was building one.

The PZL-23 is odd but it has a characteristic generation one jet fighter look to it.

For the USN/USMC the prize goes to the F7U Cutlass. Ugly looking, ugly flying, ugly career, just plain ugly.

For the USAF the F-82 "Twin Mustang" is a good contender. The P-51 is a classic good looking airplane, glue two together and you get an ugly monster. The XF-84H sounds ugly, and looks ugly.

For the Soviet Union the ugly awards commends the Yakolev bureau for its efforts. Yak-28 versions must have been designed by Dr. Luft Frankenstein.

Oh heck!  I was station at MCAS Cherry Pt in 74', think I still got a couple of kits in the stash from back then too.

Since Airfix is retooling a lot of their old kits, maybe they will come out with a new Buccaneer. Or better yet....Kitty Hawk or Trumpeter does one in 1/32.
